Accra, Ghana – Blossom Academy, a leading provider of education and skills development programs, is thrilled to announce a $100,000 grant from the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, a global 21st-century philanthropy bridging the frontiers of artificial intelligence, data science, and social impact to create a thriving, equitable, and sustainable future for all. This partnership aims to empower untapped talents across Ghana by equipping them with data science and leadership skills and connecting them to job opportunities.
Blossom Academy has a proven track record of delivering high-quality educational programs that bridge the data skills gap and prepare individuals for successful careers. With the support of the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, the academy will scale its world-class Fellowship programs across Ghana.

Key objectives of this partnership include:
- Recruitment: To recruit and develop 70 untapped talents from low-income backgrounds to partake in fully-sponsored Data Fellowship programs.
- Innovative Curriculum Development: Design market-driven curricula in collaboration with existing industry partners and deliver state-of-the-art educational content that meets the demands of the industry.
- Internship and Job Placement: On-board 20 new industry partners and facilitate internship and job placement opportunities for Fellows within new and existing industry partnering organizations.
- Community Development: Empower Fellows through projects and discussions to make better use of public goods by leveraging data.
